Priscilla Campos

Miss Priscilla has been studying the art of dance for over 25 years and continues to be in love with teaching and taking class. When not busy with Dance Soul, Miss Priscilla can be found teaching at summer schools across Western Canada, adjudicating, and taking countless workshops traveling North America. Her style of teaching is unique in that her students will come out learning something from every class be it: a life lesson, a new turn, a new jump, or a new way of looking at things, all while having a good laugh along the way. She is tough but fun and encourages all of her students to dance with passion and to be great individuals both in and outside of the studio! Miss Priscilla loves to travel and makes the most it with her dance career. She takes the fall convention circuits in Edmonton, Calgary, Vancouver and Montreal. In 2007 Miss Priscilla studied dance in St. Petersburg Russia, Chicago and Los Angeles before hitting Vancouver and New York City in 2008. Having taken the summer of 2009 off to have a baby, she jumped back into it in 2010 with Dance Soul’s 12 day summer intensive study in Los Angeles. As her students graduate and go on to pursue University degrees and professional dance careers; Miss Priscilla hopes that she has instilled the love of dance in them enough to last a life time! Her own quote is: Breathe, laugh, dance, it’s that easy.


Erin Stanley

Miss Erin, born and raised in Stony Plain, has been studying the art of dance for over 14 years. In 2005 she began her teaching career; where in four short years she went from assisting to teaching to owning Dance Soul. Her positive attitude, hard work and dedication have earned her great respect in the dance world. As a student, Miss Erin earned many great accolades such as the Dancer of the Year Award in 2002, as well as participating in professional performances of the Vaganova Dance Society’s production of Esmeralda and the University of Alberta’s Orchesis dance ensemble. Miss Erin always dives into new opportunities to further her craft taking dance conventions in Edmonton, Calgary, and Vancouver. In 2007 Miss Erin spent 10 days studying dance in St. Petersburg Russia as well as a weeklong intensive in Chicago. Since then she has also studied at the Harbour Dance Centre in Vancouver, the Broadway Dance Centre and Steps on Broadway in New York City and most recently at the Edge Performing Arts Centre in Los Angeles. Her original choreography has received recognition time and time again at the spring festivals. Miss Erin believes that studying the art of dance is a lifelong process that is constantly changing and evolving. She hopes to instill the love and passion she has for dance in all her students ages 2-99 while fostering a healthy lifestyle in a fun atmosphere.


Amber Mueller

Miss Amber is a small town girl with big dreams. She has been dancing since the age of three and has trained in Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, and Tap at Dance Images in Southern Alberta. Her passion for dance grew as she competed and trained throughout Alberta, BC, Saskatchewan, and Chicago with many talented choreographers, such as Paul Destrooper, Stéphane Leonard, Gus Giordano, Susan Quinn, and Ray Leeper. Miss Amber performed in The Nutcracker with The Moscow Ballet and is currently dancing with Citie Ballet. Having just finished her Bachelor's of Science degree at the University of Lethbridge, she has moved to Edmonton to step in as Dance Soul's new Ballet Director. Miss Amber’s positive attitude, brilliant technique, and love of dance was cultivated by her wonderful dance teachers and she is looking forward to sharing her experience, knowledge, and passion for ballet with dancers at Dance Soul.





Kelsey Axley

Miss Kelsey has been in love with the art of dance since the age of five. During her growing years she trained at Wainwright Dance Academy and Shylo's School of Performing Arts in the disciplines of Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Modern, Tap, and Musical Theatre. Miss Kelsey is committed to continuously growing as a dancer and instructor, which has lead her to some phenomenal dance opportunities. She has trained in New York City at Broadway Dance Center, Steps on Broadway, and Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre. She has also travelled to Vancouver, BC where she attended classes at the Harbour Dance Center. Other highlights in Miss Kelsey's career have been working closely with Mia Michaels, Blake McGrath, and Stephen Twitch Boss. Miss Kelsey has been an instructor for four years, sharing her love and passion for dance with numerous students of all ages. She has received numerous awards as a dancer, and is now receiving significant recognition for her choreography skills. In addition to her busy teaching schedule Miss Kelsey is also working to complete her Fitness and Nutrition Certification. Miss Kelsey's energetic approach to teaching transfers into every class along with her objective to inspire her students to be the best they can be both technically and artistically.


Tyler Whitfield

Growing up in a poor family, Mr. Tyler was unable to participate in any activities like hockey, football, or baseball and began studying dance at the age of nine. He was blessed to live in a neighbourhood with a group of street dancers who took him under their wings. They taught him the basic fundamentals of the Hip Hop culture which ignited a passion in Mr. Tyler. Living in the Edmonton area he looks for inspiration and originality through battling other Bboys. He has travelled around Canada to compete in professional competitions such as; Hat Trick, Floor Masterz, Throw-down, and Elemental Style. In addition Mr. Tyler has taken master classes with original Bboy Ken-swift and Mr. Wiggles from the Rocksteady Crew. Always looking to grow and improve, Mr. Tyler attended several dance conventions including Street Groove where he was the recipient of a scholarship to study at Harbour Dance Centre in Vancouver. Having had a very successful season as a choreographer, teacher and dancer, Mr. Tyler is excited to be returning to Dance Soul. In addition to his breakdance and hip hop classes; he is also teaching classes in Popping and Locking, another one of his specialties. Mr. Tyler looks forward to igniting the passion he has for dance in all of his students, child to adult.

Emily Belke

Emily discovered her love of dance fourteen years ago. She was inspired by great teachers in the disciplines of Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Musical Theatre, and Ukrainian. At an early age she was known as a Musical Theatre kid which led her to pursue drama at the University of Alberta. She has recently graduated with a bachelor of Education in Drama and Physical Education. Her passion of Ukrainian dance was the driving force for joining the Ukrainian Shumka Dancers, where she was privileged to have worked with Jean Marc Gernereux, Brian Webb and many outstanding Ukrainian choreographers. She has taught dance for over 10 years. Where she has inspired many young dancers and won choreography awards along the way. She is excited to be a part of Dance Soul this year and bring her love of dance her new students.


Carly Zimmer

Miss Carly began her dance training at the age of 10, where she won many awards and scholarships throughout. After graduating High School Miss Carly decided to pursue dance as a career and began teaching and working as a professional dancer. She has trained at the Edge Performing Arts Center in Los Angeles and is currently a member of Sinfully Sweet Dance Crew based in Edmonton. Miss Carly's talent and hard work have given her the opportunity to perform with various recording artist including; Akon, Girlicious, Danny Fernandez, Will I Am, and Cascada. She has also performed with and appeared in a music video for local artist Mark Sheppard. Miss Carly is passionate about teaching, and loves sharing her passion with her students. Her classes are a high energy fusion of technical hip hop, avant-garde street moves and impeccable musicality.





Lindsey Matwichuk

As she started dancing before she could walk, Miss Lindsey has always had a passion for dancing. Throughout her training Miss Lindsey learned how much it meant to feel at peace through the study of this art form. Miss Lindsey has attended several specialty classes and workshops in the Alberta area, as well as Toronto and New York City. She regularly attends conventions such as Costal Dance Rage, Triple Threat and Groovestreet as well as the annual Tap into a Cure summer workshop. Studying under artists such as Jason Samuels Smith, Mike Schulster and Blake McGrath, Miss Lindsey's passion for dance continues to grow along with her artistry and attack! Miss Lindsey is a committed dance student with a very strong love of dance that she is excited to share as a part of the teaching staff at Dance Soul this year!


Brittney Tyrrell

Miss Brittney has grown up in the town of Stony Plain where her passion and love for dance began at the age of ten. She started training in jazz and hip hop but began exploring many other disciplines soon after. Miss Brittney attended The Victoria School of Performing and Visual Arts High School in Edmonton, where she quickly fell in love with the art of contemporary dance. She then began expanding her dance knowledge and experience attending workshops around Edmonton such as Groove Street and Triple Threat. Miss Brittney’s passion for dance gave her the opportunity to study in Los Angeles, New York City, Philadelphia, and St. Petersburg, Russia, where she has trained with world renowned teachers and choreographers. Since graduating Miss Brittney has been busy teaching dance and serving as a substitute teacher for Dance Soul. She is very excited to have her own classes at Dance Soul this year and looks forward to inspiring many young dancers, while sharing her passion and love for the art of dance.





Taylor Kiryluik

Miss Taylor started dancing at a young age and has trained extensively in all areas of dance throughout the Edmonton region. She is a graduate of Victoria School for the Arts where she studied modern and jazz dance intensively. Dance has allowed Miss Taylor to travel the world where she has performed and trained in Spain, London, Los Angeles and Miami. While attending the National High School Dance Festival in Miami she was scouted by various secondary arts schools. MissTaylor has found her niche in contemporary dancing while tap and hip-hop remain her favourite styles. She is currently in her second year at the University of Alberta studying to attain her Bachelor of Arts with a major in art and design.



Darci Heisz

Miss Darci’s passion for dance started eight years ago. She started dancing recreationally at age 8 and began to pursue dance at a more competitive level soon afterwards. Miss Darci is well trained in ballet, modern, jazz, lyrical and theatre jazz styles. Her fantastic work ethic and a strong technical base along with her outgoing personality and winning smile have made Miss Darci a teacher’s delight at Dance Soul. For the past three years, Miss Darci has been in Dance Soul’s Assistant Teacher’s Training Program as well as routinely subbing for instructors when need be. In addition to her studio accomplishments of Outstanding First Year Student in 2007 and Most Promising Soloist 2010, Miss Darci does well in the competition circuit. Always looking for ways to improve herself Miss Darci regularly participates in the fall dance conventions and has had the opportunity to study in Vancouver, New York City and Los Angeles. Miss Darci will be continuing her dance education both as a student and teacher under various mentors at Dance Soul this upcoming season. She is looking forward to inspiring young dancers with the gift of dance!
